Safety in shows

From 19th July 2021 there are no legal restrictions on our classes or shows, however some of our covid safety measures will be staying in place and others will be gradually phased out rather than being removed all at once. This is so we can keep improv fun while also keeping safety in classes and show. We will also be able to adjust month by month and rollback changes if needed.

If you have symptoms, test positive, are contacted by Test and Trace, or pinged by the app, please do not come in to classes or shows for the recommended amount of time.

We know it has been confusing with people being pinged by the app, but unfortunately if you have we would also ask you to stay away from classes/shows for the recommended amount of time.

Here’s the plan:

Reduced Audience Size

Gradually going back to normal when safe to do so

We are reducing our audience capacity to mean we can maintain 1m+ social distancing. Audience size is staying at 35 (down from 75+) over July and then increasing to 40 in August. Towards the end of August we will make a decision based on wider covid situation about whether we increase audience towards our original size (75+).

Table Seating and Table Service

Staying longer term, plus the bar is open too!

The surprised benefit of social distancing – you now have a table to put your drink! Households, bubbles and groups of up to 6 people can be seated together. Drinks and food can be ordered on our app (details will be on each table).

Improved Cleaning

Staying longer term!

The venue including all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned before and after shows.

Improved Ventilation

Staying longer term!

The windows and doors are open to keep fresh air flowing. Air conditioning uses external air instead of recycled air.

Hand Washing Facilities

Staying longer term!

Hand washing facilities at box office, shared areas and toilet areas.

Online Booking

Online still available but cash/card on the door also now available again

All show tickets are booked online, to manage audience capacity and to prevent queues and overcrowding at box office.

Booking Flexibility

Staying longer term!

We are giving you full flexibility on all bookings, past, present and future.

Physically Distanced

Gradually going back to normal when safe to do so

We are gradually increasing audience size over July and August, and checking each month about the month ahead, so distancing within venue will gradually return to normal when safe to do so.

Staying longer term!

Please don’t come if you have symptoms such as fever, high temperature, a new persistent cough or changes in taste or smell. We will be able to refund you or move your booking to a different date.

Track and Trace

Staying longer term!

You will be able to scan the Track and Trace QR code on arrival or manually write your name and contact details down for Track and Trace.

Face Coverings

Please wear face coverings when moving around the venue until seated at your table. You don’t have to wear face coverings when eating and drinking.

Awesome Shows!

We might be physically distanced, but we’re bringing back awesome shows in a brand new cabaret setting! There will be less people there each evening, but we’re aiming to give you the best night ever.
