Old message from 14th March 2020:

We are currently still running all of our shows and classes.

We are following public health England and NHS guidelines which doesn’t currently advise blanket lock-down or cancelling of events but does currently state as of 14th March:

“Stay at home for 7 days if you have either:
– a high temperature
– a new, continuous cough.”

We also advise people who aren’t feeling well in general to not come into class, which is our usual policy and also true for normal colds and flu. So please if you are feeling unwell, even mildly, please don’t come into class or shows.

Public health England also recommend:

– wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds

– always wash your hands when you get home or into work

– use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available

– cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze

– put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards

– try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell

If official health advice changes or a lockdown came into place:

If public health England or the NHS did advise a blanket closing down of public events that are a similar size to ours (70 people for shows, 12-16 for classes) we would follow their advice and this would affect what we do.

If this happened shows would be cancelled first as there are a higher number of people involved at each individual event.

If advised we would pause rather than cancel courses. The course would then restart at the exact same point after a break of a month (or different time as advised by public health England or NHS) with the same group and teacher, at no cost to the students on the course. If the change in dates due to the break did not fit in with the students schedule we would find them an alternative date they could do later in the year, but ideally it would be the same group continuing with the same teacher.

If you are booking for later this spring and summer but then a lockdown was introduced you would not lose that booking or money, it would just be moved to a later date of your convenience after the lockdown period and we would make sure you have a date that works for you.

Please note there are no current plans to pause courses or cancel shows, this would only happen with a change in advice from public health England or NHS regards public events of our size.

Overall we will be working to help people to complete their course with us, while following guidelines from public health England and NHS.
