Different Areas of the UK

Every year we run The Hoopla UK & Ireland Improv Festival to bring together different improv groups and communities from across the UK and Ireland. We pay the acts to help with their travel and accommodation, and put on free workshops so improvisers from different areas get the chance to work with each other and learn from each other.

We also run The Hoopla Improv Marathon every year which also attracts groups from across the UK for one big weekend party of improv.

With our regular shows we now also bring in groups from outside London to show them to a new audience, and pay them to help them with travel and accommodation.

Our teachers regularly teach and perform at residential improv retreats around the UK including The Maydays Osho Leela Retreat in Dorset and The British Improv Project. Our teachers are also regulars on the international improv festival circuit.

If you live somewhere that doesn’t have access to improv please contact us and we may be able to put you in touch with someone in your area or even send a teacher to you and help build an improv community from scratch.

We are very open to feedback about how we could improve the diversity of the UK improv scene, so if you have any suggestions please get in touch.
