summer scenes intensive with Maria Peters

Scenes, scenes and more scenes, with more feedback than normal to give you what your improv needs.

You’ll be improvising scene after scene, receiving some helpful feedback and exercises, and then doing more scenes, scenes and scenes so you can rapidly improve your scenework over the weekend.

We’ll start with some fun and friendly warm ups to build a team for the weekend, and then go into themes like deep listening, establishing a location and relationship quickly and easily, establishing what the scene is about, escalating fun things in the scene, building relationships and emotional connection in a scene, and making scenes longer before reincorporating things to find an ending.

Maria will be providing more feedback than is normal for a Hoopla workshop. At the start she’ll be finding out what you want from the weekend and then personally give you feedback and exercises over the weekend to give you what you need for your improv.

Two day intensive aiming to make you awesome at improvising scenes.

This workshop is for people who have completed at least our Level 1 and Level 2 courses, or a similar amount elsewhere. Please don’t sign up to this workshop if you are totally new to improv.
