Sevens
Description
A circle game in which numbers 1-7 are passed around the circle; each is accompanied by a tap on one of your own shoulders.
Which shoulder you tap determines what direction the count goes in.
The number seven is different: you must raise two hands pointing in different directions, the top hand determines who says ‘one’ next in the game.
If you mess it up, leave the circle and run a circuit around it until you arrive back at your place.
Remind everyone to enjoy the elimination and mistakes rather than feel bad about messing up.
Purpose
- Fun playful warm up.
- Enjoy the mistakes and celebrate!
Variations
- Once you’ve got the hang of 1-7 do it with days of the week, then letters of the alphabet. Next level is to switch between categories – e.g 1, 2, Wednesday, 4, E, F, 7
