Scene Repeater
Description
An exercise where two players do a short scene. The rest of the players watch, and then another two try and repeat the scene as exactly as possible. Repeat, each time copying the scene before. The scenes tend to escalate as people incorporate all the personal changes from the previous pair, and it’s hilarious!
Teaching Purpose
This exercise is really good for focusing and picking up on tiny details. The players should incorporate any laughs/verbal changes, but also body language and movement. It’s also a great listening exercise as the players have to repeat exactly what they just heard.
Additional Tips for Playing
- Incorporate everything! If the pair before you couldn’t remember a line and paused, do the pause. It’ll end up being much more dramatic and funny.
