Love Hearts

Description

Two players are rivals over an invention/achievement. They meet again years after the invention/achievement, and do a scene. They each have a packet of Love Heart sweets and throughout the scene read what the sweets say – and if they’re feeling brave, eat them. By the end the rivals will fall in love and it’ll be beautiful.

Show Introduction

“Next we’re going to play a game called Love Hearts. Two rivals are going to meet, and throughout the scene they will read out what the Love Hearts say. Can I get a suggestion of an invention? And a place where two people might meet?”

Example

Improviser 1: Ah! Professor Lucille, we meet again for the first time for the last time.

Improviser 2: Yes, Dr. Mind, I haven’t seen you since you stole my eternal energy drive!

Improviser 1: Stole? It was based on my patents.

Improviser 2 (pulling out Love Heart sweet and then eating): Be mine!

Improviser 1: What?

Improviser 2: I’m sorry I don’t know where that came from. I just blurted it out.

Improviser 1: But you hate me! Ever since university. (pulls out love heart) call me!

Improviser 2: Call you? I’m right here! Don’t disconnect from me. Maybe I only let you steal my eternal energy drive so I would have reason to find you again!
