Copy Dance

Copy Dance

Description

Split the group into groups of around 5. In 5 minutes they pick a song they all know, practice singing it and create a dance routine. After 5 minutes each group performs, and after each performance another group gets up and copies the routine they’ve just watched.

Teaching Purpose

Used to teach optimism, that you’re never ready, and accepting that mistakes will happen but performing with confidence and a sense of fun.

Additional Tips for Playing

  • Own your mistakes. They are amazing!
  • When watching the other group you are going to copy, believe you are a professional dancer who can pick up any choreography. ‘Fake it till ya make it!’
  • Have FUN with it!
