Mimic

Mimic

Description

Everyone stands in a circle and one person says something. It can be a movie quote, song lyric or something from real life. The next person in the circle observes the person saying the quote and then mimics exactly what they heard and how it was said to the next person in circle. This continues to be passed around the circle. Over time it will change and the behaviour and sounds will escalate until it becomes an entirely new thing and new characters are formed. The key is to copy the person next to you and focus on what’s actually happening in the present in the moment.

Additional Playing Tips

  • Be precise, if they are moving their left hand you also move left hand.
  • Focus on the whole body not just face.
  • Capture the emotional offer.
  • Mimic the voice too.
  • Let it happen!
