They are now working together as one teaching super team on this one-off course for experienced improvisers!
They are going to be teaching a set of their favourite tools and techniques to improve scene work for intermediate and advanced improvisers.
Maria and Suki will be looking at points of view, character, status and relationships in scenes. They will also be exploring scene types based around emotionally gripping life events like falling in love, break ups, more than friendship, meet-cutes and more.
This is for experienced improvisers so with more feedback than normal to help you take your impro to another level.
Most of all this a fantastic opportunity to get some great scene tips from two of the best improvisers and teachers out there, and to meet a community of committed improvisers during lockdown!
This course is only suitable for experienced improvisers. If you are totally new to improv it would be best to start with our beginners improv course first.

4. You will just need a laptop with camera and internet connection, everything else will be in the link. Laptops work better than ipads and phones for improv over Zoom.
5. Don’t worry if you haven’t used Zoom before, we start the first session with an overview of how to use it.

Suki produces Guest Speaker, one of Hoopla’s most popular shows, with regular sold out performances featuring Suki and guests including Paul Merton, Marcus Brigstocke and Ruth Bratt.
She is a regular performer with The Comedy Store Players on the West End, the world’s longest running comedy show and London’s longest running improv show.
Suki performs in Paul Merton’s Impro Chums alongside Paul Merton, Mike McShane, Lee Simpson and Richard Vranch. The chums regularly tour theatres nationwide.
She also performed in and co-produced One Word Improv at The Palace Theatre in the West End alongside Eddie Izzard, Stephen Frost and Neil Mullarkey. She also performed in Lifegame at the National Theatre with Improbable Theatre Company.
Suki regularly performs in The Playground with Maria Peters and The Yes Queens at Soho’s Boulevard Theatre.
Her writing credits include The Birth of Hollywood for BBC2 and Paul Merton’s Weird and Wonderful World of Early Cinema.
Suki performed in the BBC Radio 2 series The Impro Musical and she’s also appeared on BBC Radio 4’s iconic programme Just a Minute.

Maria performs in Breaking & Entering and co-produces The Playground, which along with Lauren Shearing she has grown to be one of London’s most popular improv nights.
Maria has performed at numerous international improv festivals including Estonia, The Netherlands, Philadelphia, Portugal & Dublin.
She has studied with Charna Halpern, the founder of iO Chicago and author of Truth in Comedy, who originally developed The Harold with Del Close.
She has also studied with Keith Johnstone, Upright Citizens Brigade in New York and Second City in Chicago.
To top it all off Maria is a professional educator. Having spent over 10 years in learning, training & informal education, she understands the fundamentals of passing on knowledge in interactive & engaging ways.
Maria believes it’s paramount to put her students’ needs first and always creates a friendly, relaxed environment where the goal in every class is to learn new things while having a bloody good time!

Who is this suitable for?
Experienced improvisers who would like to take their improv up a level.
How much improv or acting should I have done before doing this course?
You should have done at least our Level 2 improv course or a similar amount of improv somewhere else. This course is not suitable for people totally new to improv or acting.
What comes after this course?
We have a variety of other advanced improv courses that would be suitable, with themes like story, character, scenes and more. Running both online and in real life.
What if I’m running late?
We’ll be starting each session at 7pm. This is an advanced course and we’re trying to form a team, so please don’t book this course if you are likely to be late on a regular basis.
What’s the class size?
Reduced from 16 to 10-12 while running online and also while running with social distancing in place.
Is there an end of course show?
No. We want to focus on the core skills and we've found doing show formats on top of that can be distracting for this type of course.
What do I need to take part in the online course?
Laptop with camera and an internet connection. Laptops work better than phones or ipads, but phones and ipads also work.
Do I need to sign up to Zoom in advance for the online version?
No. On the day of the workshop we email you with all you need for zoom. There's a link to click on and a pass word all in the email.
When do you email the Zoom link to take part?
On the day of the first workshop.
Can I transfer to online from my booking for a real-life course that has been postponed or vise versa?
Yes. We don't have the tech on our website for you to do this automatically, but email [email protected] if you would like to do this and we will move your booking and payment over and refund you any difference.
