Fly a jet, drive a mega-robot, stroll through verdant gardens or throw a can of beer to your flatmate. Learn how to create environments and objects that the audience will really see and remember as if your blank stage was a film! Use imagined surroundings to find out about your character. About Katy Schutte:
I improvise shows in different styles and genres. I’ve toured to 30-something countries in five continents, performing, directing and teaching. My book The Improviser’s Way, A Longform Workbook is published by Nick Hern Books. I perform with lots of companies including Project2, Hell Yeah!, Brand New Musical and We Built This City on Rock and Coal. I was a member of The Maydays from 2004 – 2022. I perform in theatres, on the radio and in the digital space. I designed improv curriculum for Hoopla, the UK’s largest improv school and for Fennec in Saudi Arabia.

Level: Intermediate & Advanced. Must have experience of improvising scenes in a workshop. Not suitable for people totally new to improv.

Who are these workshops suitable for?
Intermediate and advanced improvisers. Ideally you will have completed at least our Level 3 Scenes Course and ideally our Level 4 Course or equivalent too. You should be used to improvising scenes from suggestion in a workshop environment.
Do you offer discounts?
There will be one scholarship place per workshop.
What’s the class size?
Maximum of 16 people, average of 12-14 people.

You can get a full refund if you give us 24 hours notice. We don't give refunds if you give us less than 24 hours notice.
