intro to a cappella
Learn how to improvise songs a cappella with Lisa Lynn, co-founder of Acaprov the Improvised A Cappella Musical!
Songs improvised without musical accompaniment, the group working together in harmony together to create something beautiful in the moment.
In Acaprov actors, beatboxers, singers, rappers and body percussionists coming together a capella to improvise a fresh new musical improv show that you’ll never forget.
Every show is unique as Acaprov take a location and title from the audience before spinning a one time world of heartfelt connections, laugh out loud adventures and soul shaking songs – all a capella. Everything seen and heard is 100% invented in the moment and entirely from the minds and bodies of the performers.
Acaprov was founded in 2018 by Lisa Lynn (London mainstay Music Box – “Brilliant” ***** Fringe Guru) and Lee Apsey (multiple Fringe sell-out CSI: Crime Scene Improvisation – “A Spectacular Must See” ***** Bunbury) and has since performed and taught across the UK and Europe, including sold out shows at the Brighton Fringe and at the International Cultural Centre in Berlin.
No previous singing experience needed but this workshop is designed for people with previous improv experience. If you haven’t got that it’s best to start with our beginners improv course first.
