Improvisation inspired by the work of Brené Brown on vulnerability, empathy and courage.

Brené Brown is a research professor at the University of Houston who rose to fame from her Ted talk on The Power of Vulnerability. She’s spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy. She’s the author of five number 1 New York Times bestsellers: The Gifts of Imperfection, Daring Greatly, Rising Strong, Braving the Wilderness, and Dare to Lead.

Katy Schutte is one of the UK’s most experienced improvisers and she has designed brand new exercises and games to bring the work of Brené to life.

As part of a team you’ll be exploring

  • Embracing vulnerability, empathy and courage.
  • Vulnerability as the birthplace of joy and creativity.
  • Allowing ourselves to be seen.
  • Authenticity and being our whole-hearted selves in improv.
  • Embracing all emotions on stage to bring scenes to life.
  • Connection and compassion with our scene partner and with ourselves.

“I believe that you have to walk through vulnerability to get to courage, therefore . . . embrace the suck.” – Brené Brown.
