Hoopla Improv Comedy Club

The UK’s first ever Improv Comedy Club.


Hoopla present a selection of the best improvised comedy in London every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday night. At least two different improv groups each night from the UK’s flourishing live impro scene.


Recommended by Time Out, The Evening Standard, The Metro and The Daily Telegraph.


We support all styles of improv and have a variety of styles of improv each night including short-form games, scenes, long-form, improvised plays, improvised films and improv musicals, as well as occasional late night jams, shows and parties.


We also run improv courses for you to try improv yourself as well as stand up comedy courses and corporate training.

GLITCH: The UK's first & original narrative improvised comedy puppet show for grownups. Action packed furry adventures with songs.


DAN ATTFIELD: Dan brings guitar, looping, beatbox and synths together to produce his uniquely nerdy brand of musical comedy in Futureproof, his second solo show. Also seen with hip-hop freestylers Abandoman.


GÄMEZ: Fast and funny high energy short-form games to get the party started. Different games every show including classics, forgotten gems and brand games developed in the Gämez lab.

Gämez, Gämez, Gämez, if you chant them they will come.


THE DESCENDANTS: Narrative long-form improv. The Descendants channel the Gods of Time to travel back to the era of their ancient ancestors and weave a fantastic adventure based in history.

Improvised comedy with one of the UK's longest running improv groups. Join Grand Theft Impro as they bring together some of their swornest enemies to improvise with them.


Featuring veteran improvisers Phil Whelans, Sally Hodgkiss, Oliver Senton and Alan Marriott.

The Maydays: CONFESSIONS. The Maydays bring award-winning improvisation to audiences and this month bring their show Confessions to Hoopla!


Confessions takes audience stories and secrets written down before the show starts and turns them into songs, sketches and beguiling stories. Expect, secrets, lies and guilt.
