Hoopla Improv Comedy Club

The UK’s first ever Improv Comedy Club.


Hoopla present a selection of the best improvised comedy in London every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday night. At least two different improv groups each night from the UK’s flourishing live impro scene.


Recommended by Time Out, The Evening Standard, The Metro and The Daily Telegraph.


We support all styles of improv and have a variety of styles of improv each night including short-form games, scenes, long-form, improvised plays, improvised films and improv musicals, as well as occasional late night jams, shows and parties.


We also run improv courses for you to try improv yourself as well as stand up comedy courses and corporate training.

Each ticket gets you access to all the shows on that day. You can come and go as you please and see as many shows as you want, whenever you want on that day. You dont have to see them all! There will be breaks throughout the day and a bar.


Inspired by the Del Close Marathon in New York, Hoopla present....THE HOOPLA IMPROV MARATHON!


Over 200 performers, in shows back to back, in over 50 hours of NON-STOP improv!


All raising money and awareness for Team Margot, a charity that campaigns for more people to join the worldwide registers as potential bone marrow donors to help people with cancer.

7pm: Ghost Couple with Dylan Emery (Olivier award winning Showstoppers) and Ruth Bratt (BAFTA winning People Just Do Nothing) and Bareback Kings.

8pm: Guest Speaker with Richard Vranch (Whose Line Is It Anyway, Comedy Store Players), Suki Webster (Paul Mertons Impro Chums), Charlotte Gittins (Austentatious) and Phil Whelans (GTI).

10:30pm: Newsical improvised topical musical and Ladyprov.

11:30pm: Mamet the improvised David Mamet play with Dylan Emery and Alan Marriott (founder of Crunchy Frog Collective and the original London TheatreSports) and Ladyprov.

11:50pm - 4am: MEGA FACE! The late night zone with LOADS of 10 minute shows of late night improv including:

2:50am: Judge Doody, Somnambulist Public Radio LIVE, Springwatch, Blue Peter, Jackanory.

3:50am: Somnambulist Public Radio LIVE.

5am: We make a show out of whoever is still in the room!

10:25am: The Live Report (improvisers filming outside on a live feed to a news room on stage), Vladi, Cop Prov, Dead Drunk Detective, The Pioneers.

11:30am: Phil Lunns Musical Improv Jam. Open to anyone to come and have an improvised sing.

5pm: Stand Up with Rob T, Tandy Houghton/Liam Thatcher, Zahra Barri, Radu Isac, Don Biswas, Athena Kugblenu, Evelyn Mok and Lewis Schaffer.

7pm: Glitch and The RH Experience.

MONDAY 16th OCTOBER 2017: Launch Pad


A fun, friendly and FREE night featuring various new groups, new shows and new formats. Featuring new improvisers as well as experienced improvisers trying out new stuff.


This is the place for improvisers to experiment, try out new stuff, get more stage time, get some more experience and have some fun in one big night of improv.

Word of Muff is 20% Lesss attempt to steal stage time from straight white males.A monthly variety comedy show where 20% Less bring you an all female line up of comedians. Performers will regale you with an exciting array of improvised comedy, sketch and character comedy, stand up comedy, as well as live music on occasion.Comedy by women for everyone!

Weve gathered some of the UKs finest and most ghoulish improvisers to recreate the chaos of all your favourite zombie films on stage. A host of performers will be there to tickle your funny bones, but by the end of the night, will any of them avoid becoming part of the zombie horde?


Featuring improvisers from DNAYS, The Maydays, The Science of Living Things, Classic Andy and many many more, this is one Halloween show you wont forget in a hurry because its sure to come shambling after you!


PLUS Halloween Improvision, the improvised Eurovision zombie song contest done Horror style!
