We’ve been working informally with The Maydays in Brighton to build connections between London and Brighton in the improv scene.
We regularly host shows by The Maydays at our improv comedy club at The Miller, and assist them in growing their London audience. We also host London workshops taught by Maydays members including John Cremer and Katy Schutte.
We’ve also been working with the award-winning Brighton Fringe venue Upstairs at Three and Ten in collaboration with Other Place Productions. Steve Roe from Hoopla produced Music Box The Improvised Musical on The Brighton Fringe, where it was awarded five stars by Fringe Guru.
Following the Brighton Fringe Music Box have been offered a monthly residency at Upstairs at Three and Ten, which Hoopla will also be using to help spread improv shows out of London and grow London to Brighton connections.
